Our huge efforts paid off! Our annual Peartree Fun Day was a huge success. Even though the weather wasn't great at times, our annual event was attended by 350-400 people. There was a real 'buzz' around the place. Our efforts paid off!!!! The outside area was busy, there were plenty of stalls and activities. Rain didn't stop us from having fun!
Those who came along to the Woodhall Community Centre had an opportunity to enjoy a rich variety of games, stalls, entertainment and sports demonstrations.
Former borough councillor Michal Siewniak, one of the organisers, said: “We have planned and delivered another successful event for our local community. People had so much to do, inside and outside. Badminton, boditrax, sport activities, Our Lady’s and Holwell Primary Schools singing performance, raffle prizes, Brazilian Ju Jitsu and ‘Olympic style’ demonstration from a local Gymnastic Academy.
The Peartree Fun Day always brings the local community together, helps to raise the profile of the area, provides with many networking opportunities but most importantly, puts a lot of smiles on so many faces!
Our Fun Day would have not happened without a help and financial support from the Welwyn Hatfield Borough Council and local county cllr, Nigel Quinton. Monies raised will support our local charity, Resolve.
